Anita Woods – Undergraduate Program Chair
Congratulations to Anita Woods on her appointment as our Department’s Undergraduate Program Chair effective September 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022.
Anita obtained her PhD in 2006 from the Department and was recruited in 2007 as a teaching intensive faculty member. Over the past 12 years, Anita has managed and/or taught in seven different large courses and has been actively engaged in new course design and curriculum development. She has extensive experience working with students and other faculty members both in the Department and across the University. Anita promotes the University and our Department at outreach events, workshops, and lectures held within our community and beyond. In addition to teaching and outreach, Anita conducts research in the area of student motivation and engagement in large lecture classes within the sciences.
