Every PM&R Resident is heavily supported by the Department in completing a research project to meet the Royal College requirements for training.  Some residents have used this as an introduction to research methodology, and others have initiated/continued successful academic careers.  Our residents have had success in publishing residency projects and won awards at the Canadian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Residents present annually at the Resident Research Day.  This research presentation opportunity it coupled with the annual Teasell Lecture, a special offering of the  Department of PM&R Grand Rounds. See link below.

 

Previous Student/Resident Research

 The Department of PM&R supports all learners interested in exploring or performing research projects in related areas.  PM&R residents participate in the dept’s annual Resident Research Day en route to completing the Royal College requirements for research.  Undergraduate students have completed numerous research projects with the department on a variety of topics.  Sample projects include:
