2nd Annual Paediatric Surgery Research Day
The second annual Paediatric Surgery Research Day was held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre in London, Ontario. The event was well attended and comprised of over thirty participants, including, paediatric surgeons, paediatric anesthetist, residents, medical students, and research staff.
The program included excellent research presentations in many areas of paediatric surgery, including; Orthopaedic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Urology, Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery - a list of presentations can be found below.
Our guest speaker, Dr. Sayra Cristancho, is a consultant at Western’s Centre for Education Research and Innovation. Dr. Cristancho provided an outstanding presentation on implications of clinical complexity and problem-solving techniques. Dr. Cristancho’s presentation provided the perfect platform for a great discussion with consultants from all specialities.
