Orthopaedic Trauma, Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program

The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Western University is pleased to offer a comprehensive Orthopaedic Trauma, Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program based at the London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, Canada. The intensive one-year fellowship is open to all graduates of Canadian orthopaedic programs and any outside institutions which meet our criteria for training. Training will comprise of advanced periarticular fracture reconstruction techniques with a focus on a full-time practice in Orthopaedic Trauma. Areas of specific interest include periarticular fractures, pelvic and acetabular fractures, polytrauma patients, as well as post-traumatic and reconstruction foot and ankle surgery.

Remuneration has been standardized within our Fellowship Program. Fellows will be expected to be intimately involved in research, clinical work and teaching residents and medical students. Opportunity is available for both clinical and basic science research projects at Western University. Research funding is available for appropriate and high-quality proposals.

The fellowship is meant for applicants who are expecting to return to academic centres to practice in a tertiary care capacity.
