Advising

Students registered in the Honors Specialization in Neuroscience seeking advice for any of the items below should connect with the Academic Advising Office. The FAQs on the academic advising website explain many of the processes

  • the impact of course selection and academic performance on eligibility for modules and degrees;
  • consideration for missed course work, including midterm tests and exams;
  • requests for increased or irregular course loads;
  • evaluation of transfer credits;
  • requests for Letters of Permission (taking courses at another university);
  • requests to change modules or degrees (Change of Status requests), transfer from other faculties at Western, or withdraw from Western.

  • general information about the Undergraduate Program in Neuroscience (including admission and eligibility, adjudication, graduation, Intent to Register, etc.),
  • information about the Medical Sciences First Entry Program

Students should contact a Department Advisor for:

  • advice/information about courses offered by the department;
  • special permission to take a course (e.g. without the prerequisite or despite a timetable conflict).
