2022 Collip Medal Award Winner
The Collip Medal Award was established in 1959 and is presented annually to the outstanding PhD student graduating from one of the basic science programs in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. This award, in the form of a medal, commemorates the contributions to University of Western Ontario, and to Canadian Biomedical Sciences, of one of the former Deans of Medicine, Dr. J.B. Collip. The medal is based on the overall performance of a student during her or his tenure at Western.
This year’s competition was especially strong, and we very pleased to be announce that Dr. Denny Chin, PhD Student in Microbiology & Immunology, has successfully won the 2022 Colip Medal Award.
