Consideration & Assessment
Applicants are reviewed based on a holistic assessment of their academic and non-academic achievements. The most competitive applicants:
-
Come from a comparable curriculum. Please refer to the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Year 1 course listings.
-
Have good standing in their current dental program. Applicants who have been required to withdraw from a dental school for academic or other reasons will usually be ineligible for admission to Schulich Dentistry via Second Year transfer.
Decisions on Second Year Transfer applicants are not subject to appeal.
Please Note: It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure all documentation is submitted to the Admissions Office by the deadline indicated. Falsification or misrepresentation of information from any portion of the application will result in removal of the application from consideration.
Using generative AI writing tools such as but not limited to ChatGPT to obtain responses is not permitted at any stage of assessment for Schulich’s School of Medicine and Dentistry Program Admissions as components of the application are intended to be reflective of the individual applying.
Using such technologies creates a misrepresentation of the applicant’s work and abilities, thus putting into question the applicant’s academic integrity.
If it is discovered that any AI writing tools or equivalent have been used for any component of an application or at any point during the admissions process, the application will be disqualified.
If it is discovered after an offer of admission has been sent, that offer may be withdrawn.
If these circumstances are discovered after you are admitted into the DDS program, you may be required to withdraw from the program.
