Cancer immunotherapy has changed oncology management of patients in the last decade. However, still many patients do not respond to immunotherapy drugs. Some patients also show side effects that are related to an exaggerated immune response. In our lab, we try to understand how a tumor that is not responsive to immunotherapy can be rendered sensitive to immune cell destruction and how a better anti-tumor immunity can be induced without causing immune-related side effects.
