Opportunities
Training opportunities may be available to qualified and ambitious trainees (please see below for available positions). Our research focuses on vascular repair and homeostasis, with particular emphasis on the contributory role of adult stem cells. Through cellular and molecular techniques, the trainee(s) will gain insight into the role of stem cells in disease initiation/progression and the potential use of adult stem cells in therapy.
Undergraduate training in the Khan laboratory introduces students to foundational research, while graduate training provides foundational skill set for advanced training and a career in academia, industry, and government research laboratories. Some of our team members have continued their training in research to develop into independent scientists. Some have combined their passion of research with clinical training in medicine.
