Dr. Cassandra Townsend is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Western University. She completed her undergraduate studies in Physiology at Western University and then completed her Medical Degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Dr. Townsend returned to Western University to complete her Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training. She went on to complete an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Fellowship at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, United Kingdom. She is currently completing her Masters in Evidence Based Health Care through Oxford University. She has a practice focused on IBD and is particularly interested in care of young adults with IBD. Her academic interests are focused in undergraduate medical education.
