About Us
There are 20 full time faculty members in the Division of Gastroenterology at the Schulich School of Medicine, Western University. Patient care is provided in our 3 busy outpatient endoscopy units and clinics at St. Joseph’s Health Care London, University Hospital and Victoria Hospital. We have clinicians and researchers with specialized training in the areas of inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, liver transplantation, advanced endoscopy, nutrition and motility disorders.
The division has one of Canada’s most highly regarded postgraduate training programs in gastroenterology, fully accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. We have also established a fully accredited postgraduate training program in transplant hepatology. Other opportunities for fellowships include training in inflammatory bowel disease, advanced therapeutic endoscopy including ERCP and EUS, and motility.
