Advanced Endoscopy

Dr. Nitin Khanna is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Western University.  He is the citywide Chair/Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology. At SJHC, he is the Medical Director of Endoscopy.

Dr. Khanna grew up in New Brunswick and attended Dalhousie University for his BSc in Biology.  He completed his MD at Memorial University of Newfoundland and his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at Western University.  Dr. Khanna has a fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy from the University of Calgary where he trained with Dr. Gary May.

Dr. Khanna is a Clinician Teacher within the Department of Medicine and has extensive involvement in medical education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of training.  He supervises the GI Resident Longitudinal Clinic and has won numerous teaching awards.  His clinical interests include endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, pancreatico-biliary diseases, luminal stenting and dilation, complex polypectomies, difficult colonoscopies and inflammatory bowel disease.
