Course Information

Enrolment priority is given to graduate students in the Epidemiology & Biostatistics graduate program. If there is space in the course, graduate students from other programs may register for a course provided they have: the required pre-requisites, permission of the course instructor and permission of their home program.

Listed below are the required and elective courses, by degree type (MSc or PhD) and Field of Study (Epidemiology or Biostatistics). Course times, locations, and outlines are avalilable by request from EpiBio@uwo.ca. 

Notes:

"A" courses are offered in the fall term.
"Q" courses are offered in the first half of fall term.
"R" courses are offered in the second half of fall term.
"B" courses are offered in the winter term.
"S" courses are offered in the first half of winter term.
"T" courses are offered in the second half of winter term.
"U" & "V" courses are offered in the summer term.

Master's Degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics - Epidemiology Field of Study

Epidemiology Master's students must take the following following 3.0 credits:

Students must take a minimum of 1.0 elective credits from the list below. Elective courses can be taken from other departments with approval of the Graduate Chair.

Doctoral Degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics - Epidemiology Field of Study

Epidemiology Doctoral students must take the following 3.5 credits:

Students must take a minimum of 1.0 elective credits from the list below. Elective courses can be taken from other departments with approval of the Graduate Chair.

Master's and Doctoral Epidemiology and Biostatistics - Biostatistics Field of Study

MSc students in the biostatistics stream need a total of 3.5 credits to graduate, and PhD students need a total of 4.0 credits.
