OWL Development
- OWL (Online Western Learning), Western's learning management system, employs Sakai software.
- All courses in the educational programs of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry employ OWL for instructors and students.
- OWL is also a very useful vehicle to provide website support for committees, educational and research groups of faculty, students and staff.
- STC will support guidance and training in the set up of OWL sites.
- STC support is also available for advising on web applications for teaching.
OWL ID and Password
- Your Western identity is tied to your email User ID and password which are also required to log in to OWL. Your User ID is most often the first part of your Western (UWO) email address. For example, "jdoe" is the User ID for the email address jdoe@uwo.ca. You can determine your User ID from the Western Directory link on the right - search for yourself and click on your name.
- If you have forgotten your password, you will need to contact Information Technology Services at 519.661.3800. Your Western ID (employee) number will also be required - call Human Resources at 519.661.2194 for help with this if necessary.
You and OWL
- If you are already enrolled into one (or several) OWL sites, access them from the drop-down menu under "Popular Links", located at the top right corner of this page.
