Conditions of Appointment and CBME
Colleagues,
Please accept my warmest welcome to the start of the 2016-2017 academic year.
The coming year may bring significant opportunity for change for faculty. An update to the Conditions of Appointment document is coming up for vote. If ratified, this will give our faculty an increased opportunity to advance with academic appointment while recognizing the impact all of you make at the Schulich Medicine - Windsor Campus. For those of you looking to expand your footprint in local medical education, many opportunities exist that we would love to share with you.
From a School-wide perspective, education at Schulich Medicine is continuing to evolve. Under the direction of Dr. Strong, we are taking our post-accreditation status as an opportunity to grow our commitment to competency-based medical education. This shift may have a significant effect on our campus that I will share with you as more information becomes available.
Finally, I would like to offer all of you the opportunity to reach out to me about any areas of concern you have. I am a firm believer that we, as a campus, need to support the growth of our students and faculty. I am happy to hear and share thoughts with you in person, by phone or email.
Thank you for the hard work and dedication.
