Reaching out to the community
With May just around the corner, we are once again approaching the end of another academic year, and convocation for the students fom the Medicine Class of 2015.
Faculty can expect to receive their invitations soon, and I encourage you to attend. It’s always rewarding to see the students, who you have taught and mentored throughout the four years, graduate.
The Dunks for Dialysis time is also here again.
For those were not familiar with Dunks for Dialysis, it is a fundraising event held in support of the dialysis unit wherein the world-renowned medical student basketball team plays the world renowned faculty basketball team.
The event will be held at Vincent Massey Secondary High School on March 27. Local doctors and medical students participate to help raise funds for the Unit. Who is destined to win this year? Join us at 6:00 p.m. on March 27, to find out. It’s a great cause.
Thank you for your continuing efforts in providing first-class medical education for our students. We look forward to continuing to work with you.
In the past few months, we have created a new brochure to support our faculty recruitment efforts at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry. I have found it very useful, and I believe prospective faculty will as well. Please take a minute to have a look at the brochure, and share it with individuals who you know could make a positive contribution to our School.
Many thanks again to all faculty, students and staff. I look forward to providing you with more updates directly by email and in future newsletters. Enjoy the start of spring.
