2015 UME accreditation ends on a high note
The 2015 Undergraduate Medical Education program accreditation came to an end after three-and-a-half days of meetings and interviews. During the process, students, faculty and staff had the opportunity to share information about the strengths of our UME program and School, while our many accomplishments.
Overall, the School is pleased with the visit and extremely grateful to everyone who was involved. Formal results will be received in October. More news will be shared at that time.
On the final day of the visit, Dr. Michael J. Strong, dean, was quick to extend a special thank you to everyone who assisted with the planning and preparation of the visit, and who participated in the meetings and interviews. In an email shared with the School, he noted in particular Dr. Shannon Venance, who served as the faculty lead for the UME accreditation, Matt Wannan, who served as the logistics coordinator, and Susan Paroutis, who served as administrative lead, as well as all the members of the UME team for their enormous contributions.
