Dr. Arthur Kidd has been honoured as a recipient of the Frederick Banting Award from the Canadian Diabetes Association. The award recognizes a significant contribution to either preventing diabetes or chronic disease in Canada or to improving the quality of life of individuals affected by diabetes nationwide. Dr. Frederick Banting, a nobel laureate and primary discoverer of insulin, got his early start at Western University within the medical school, making this award much more special for one of Schulich Medicine's favourite and most respected faculty members.
