Tours of the Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine
Tuesday, September 24, 2013
Join us October 16 for a first look at The Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine. The new building at 1465 Richmond Street features a 100-seat lecture theatre with videoconferencing capabilities, breakout rooms for small group teaching, faculty and administration offices and meeting spaces.
The 66,700 square-foot, state-of-the-art building is home to the Department of Family Medicine, the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine and the Schulich Interfaculty Program in Public Health and will serve as a locus of activity for campus-wide initiatives bringing together strengths in patient-centred care with population health and a global vision of public health.
These initiatives will consolidate resources by integrating academic and community physicians, empowering leadership, supporting primary care research and facilitating knowledge translation regarding the delivery of health care to populations.
Tours of the building will run from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Light refreshment to be served.
