Celebrating Excellence

Amidst the busyness of the School's activities - the Celebration of Excellence dinner and awards banquet provided a special opportunity for people across the School to honour their peers. This year, 27 faculty and staff received awards recognizing them for their dedication and commitment to the mission and vision of Schulich Medicine & Dentistry.

Nearly 250 guests enjoyed the evening, where special acknowledgement was also paid to Dr. Jane Rylett, who received a Distinguished University Professorship and Dr. Anita Woods, who was named as the Marilyn Robinson Award for Excellence in Teaching, as well as graduate students who were recipients of the Dean's Stipend Awards. A new tradition of recognizing those individuals who were promoted to the rank of full professor was initiated this year as part of the formal program.
