Nikolaos Tzemos

Dr. Tzemos completed his undergraduate training at the University of Milan, Italy, graduating with a first class honors degree in Medicine and Surgery. He subsequently trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. He then completed two years of clinical research training at the University of Dundee, which led to the award of MA with Honors in Hypertension and Vascular Biology.
Early during his postgraduate training, he developed an interest in advanced cardiac imaging, subsequently pursuing further subspecialty training in echocardiography at the University Health Network Toronto, and cardiac MRI and CT with the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He completed his postgraduate clinical training in Cardiology at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, where he held the position of Clinical Lecturer.
Dr. Tzemos' main interest is cardiac research using advanced cardiac imaging techniques as a means of connecting basic science to clinical outcomes.
