Neville Suskin
Neville Suskin, M.B.Ch.B., M.Sc., FRCPC, FACC
Dr. Neville Suskin is a cardiologist and Medical Director of the Cardiac Rehabiliation and Secondary Prevention Program. Dr. Suskin has a Master's degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Western Ontario, where he is currently a Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Suskin's research and clinical interests center on Cardiovascular Chronic Disease Management (CDM). Consistent with these, Dr. Suskin co-created the London Cardiovascular Information System (LCVIS), which is a cardiac rehabiliation electronic patient management system & registry. LCVIS enhances patient care, facilitates program evaluation and quality assurance.
Dr. Suskin has held or holds a number of peer-reviewed grants evaluating different aspects of cardiovascular CDM. Dr. Suskin has been actively involved in the promotion and policy information in cardiac rehabilitation. Dr. Suskin led the Ontario Cardiac Rehabilitation Pilot Project (2001-2), is a past present (2006-8) of the Canadian Associataion of Cardiac Rehabilitation (CACR), and participated in the Canadian Heart Health Strategy & Action Plan (2007-9). Dr. Suskin was Associate Editor of the 3rd Edition (2009) of the Canadian Cardiac Rehabiliation Guidelines, and served as the Vice Chair of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Quality Indicators Cardiac Rehabiliation/Secondary Prevention Chaper Working Group (2012-13).
