Announcement: Dr. John Fuller re-appointed as Interim Chair, Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine
We are pleased to announce that Dr. John Fuller has been re-appointed in the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine as:
- Interim Chair (Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University);
- Interim Physician Executive (London Health Sciences Centre); and
- Interim Chief (St. Joseph’s Health Care London).
The reappointment is effective July 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023, or until a permanent appointment has been made.
Dr. Fuller is a Professor in the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry. He serves as the Medical Director of Perioperative Care at St Joseph’s Hospital and as the Vice-Chair of the Academic Medical Organization of Southwestern Ontario (AMOSO) Governing Committee.
Dr. Fuller obtained his medical degree at Western and holds a Certified Canadian Physician Executive certificate. He has received numerous awards including the PARO Resident Advocate Award and the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society Clinical Teacher Award.
During this period of interim leadership, Dr. Fuller looks forward to working collaboratively to best support clinical and departmental operations and to ensure the optimal functioning of the Department.
