Multi-Organ Transplant Program reaches new milestone

The Multi-Organ Transplant Program reached the 100-patient mark on December 9, 2013, when the team performed a kidney transplant at London Health Sciences Centre. This achievement marks the most patients in a year to receive a kidney transplant at LHSC, since the program began in 1973. The team performed 76 kidney and five kidney-pancreas transplants, in addition to 19 living-donor transplants. The team has since surpassed the 100-patient mark.
