Dr. David White's research group receives the National Centre of Excellence designation

Earlier this year, as a member of the regenerative medicine consortium, Dr. David White and the Sernova research group received the National Centre of Excellence designation by Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) of Canada.
Dr. David White, Emeritus Professor of Pathology and Surgery, and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board at Sernova Corp., is the Principal Researcher for Sernova's diabetes product. His research is being conducted at the Robarts Research Institute. Dr. White will be attending the International Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association (IPITA) conference in California at the end of September. The initial results from the clinical trials completed by the group on a new technique for islet transplantation will be presented at the conference.
