Support for International Students
Western University and the Master of Public Health Program wish to help make the transition for international students as effortless as possible. There are a number of resources to facilitate the transition to studying abroad, living in a new city and new country.
Below are some helpful resources for international students.
The following is an example of some cost estimates (in Canadian currency) for living expenses off-campus for a single person:
- Rent: $400-600/month
- Food: $350-400/month
- Utilities & Cable: $100/month
- Internet: $10-40/month
- Phone: $50/month
- Personal: $100/month
- Clothing: $50/month
- Entertainment: $100/month
- Laundry: $25/month
If you plan on bringing your family with you, you should budget approximately $4,000 for the first family member and $3,000 for each additional family member, per year.
