Undergraduate Psychiatry rotations are available in Stratford, Ontario
Training at the hospital is available under the supervision of a Western faculty member and is conducted in both in-patient and out-patient environment:
Psychiatric In-Patient Unit. The Unit of 18 beds which averages 550 admissions per year. Students are trained in the environment, where a very short length of patients’ stay is made possible by multidisciplinary team approach, very active assessment, treatment planning and quick referral to outpatient services.
Multidisciplinary Outpatient Programs, which include:
Day Program consisting of groups that are based on current best evidence models for different kinds of problems. The main orientation is cognitive behavioral and an expertise in treatment planning for both simple and complex cases have been developed.
