Stem Cell Differentiation
Based on their potential for regenerative medicine, Dr. Séguin’s postdoctoral training focused on new strategies for embryonic stem cell differentiation and modeling of cell-cell interactions in the early embryo
(Cell Stem Cell, Nat Methods, Tissue Eng Pt A, Developmental Biology). Ongoing research in the Séguin lab is aimed at examining the pathways regulate endoderm differentiation, using the ectopic expression of transcription factors to specify endocrine cell types.
