WPA Scientific Communication Workshop
On Tuesday, January 16, the WPA hosted a seminar to help students improve their scientific communication skills. We welcomed Dr. Nicole Campbell—an Associate Professor of Physiology and Pharmacology with numerous teaching experiences, with emphasis on interactive, conversational, and learner-centred approaches—and Dr. Adrian Owen—a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience and Imaging and a best-selling author—who shared their experiences in how best to deliver scientific information to a variety of audiences. They reflected on personal experiences and provided helpful insight for how to prepare presentations and written communications that are engaging to audiences of various levels.
