2020 3MT Western Finalist: Janice Gomes

Congratulations to Janice Gomes, PhD Candidate in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, for placing Top 20 in Western’s 3MT Competition. Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an "international research competition where graduate students have 3 minutes to present their research and its impact to a panel of non-specialist judges and peers. The exercise develops academic, presentation, and research communication skills. It also supports the development of research students' capacity to effectively explain their research in language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience." Janice will compete in the Finals on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Wolf Performance Hall, London Public Library (Central branch) at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend this free event.
Janice is supervised by Dr. Christopher McIntyre and her 3MT is entitled "Trash to Treasure." Good luck Janice!
