Soojie Hong graduated with a BMSc in Biochemistry and Pathology of Human Disease Honors program
This month Soojie Hong graduated with a BMSc in Biochemistry and Pathology of Human Disease Honors program and received the gold medal for her outstanding achievements.
Soojie worked in the Duennwald lab on SOD1, a key protein in the neurodegenerative disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Soojie accomplished an immense and highly impressive amount of work and produced high quality data that will help to decipher how the misfolding of SOD1 contributes to ALS. Also, together with the Duennwald lab, Soojie volunteered to organize the walk for ALS in London for two years. Soojie will be dearly missed in the Duennwald lab and we wish her all the best for her future endeavors.
