Welcome Dr. Lauren Solomon
Dr. Solomon completed her PhD at Western University, where she studied the role of chromatin-remodelling proteins in the development of the skeletal system. She subsequently completed a Postdoc with Dr. Rodney DeKoter in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, examining transcription factors involved in immune system development and their dysfunction in certain types of blood cancers. Her interests are next-generation sequencing technologies and using personalised genetics to understand and treat diseases of the immune system. Dr. Lauren Solomon holds a 2017 CAAIF-AllerGen Research Fellowship, supporting research in the field of allergy and clinical immunology. The fellowship will allow Dr. Solomon to work with Dr. Lisa Cameron at Western University to study molecular pathways regulating severe asthma in women.
