WPA Lecture Series: Emily Keats
WPA hosted our second Academic Lecture Series with our very own Western Pathology alumna, Dr. Emily Keats, with her talk, "The Science behind Public Health". Dr. Keats shared her journey from completing her PhD studying vascular stem cells to currently coordinating various projects as a Clinical Research Project Coordinator at the Centre for Global Child Health at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She provided an informative perspective on integrating basic science and public health, and how they can complement each other. It was a unique seminar that informed students regarding a career in public health!
