Farewell to Michael John
Please join us in saying farewell and happy retirement to Dr. Michael John who retired May 31, after 23 years of service from both his hospital and academic appointments.
Dr. John came to the London Health Sciences Centre and Western University in 1995. At LHSC he has been appointed as Medical Director, Infection Prevention and Control since 1997. Since 2014 Dr. John has also been the Division Head for Microbiology at LHSC. That same year Dr. John was presented with The Joint Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) Award for leadership, integrity and motivation to the vision and mission of London Health Sciences Centre & St. Joseph’s Health Care.
Dr. John retires as full professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and the Department of Microbiology & Immunology, and is now designated Emeritus Professor at Western University.
