Resident Award of Excellence In Pathology
Dr. Matt Cecchini was awarded the 2017 Resident Award of Excellence in Pathology!
Matt is active in research and was awarded a PSI grant this past year. He is committed to both peer to peer education and medical school teaching. Whilst a medical student, he helped develop a new teaching initiative for clinical clerks, now part of the 3rd year curriculum. He also took the lead in creating a digitized slide collection for use by the residents for exam preparation.
Matt’s contributions and excellence in education have been recognized externally; he was invited to be a member of the 2017 CAP-ACP meeting planning committee and he had a major role in the organization of the 2017 conference. He also presented a paper and was an invited speaker in the education section, talking about social media in pathology.
Congratulations Dr. Matt Cecchini!
