Since January 2014, I have received four grants from the Canadian National Institute of the Blind (CNIB), Glaucoma Research Society of Canada, Lawson Internal Research Fund, and Strategic Research fund. I have six refereed journal articles in high-quality peer-reviewed journals (two published and four under review). I am the primary and corresponding author on four out of six refereed journal articles. I am currently working on 22 journal manuscripts (under preparation). For one of research articles on “Cost-effectiveness analysis of iStent and phacoemulsification versus glaucoma medications in the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP)” has been recognized by the Canadian Glaucoma Society (COS) as the recipient of 2014 COS Award of Excellence. In addition to my work as a published researcher, I supervise/co-supervise four master’s students.
