Refugee Sponsorship Fund
"In Medical Imaging, we are able to make diagnoses and assist with therapeutic interventions" says Dr. Andrea Lum, Chair Medical Imaging. "By looking beyond our Imaging, we can together make a difference for those Syrian families who have chosen to join us in Canada, yes now as refugees in need, but will in the future become productive members of our multicultural country. If everyone gives a little, we can together do a lot. So please join me in our Medical Imaging Sponsorship fund, so that a Syrian family can have a better life."
Medical Imaging at Western University has joined with the Faculty of Social Science and the London Cross Cultural Learner Centre http://www.lcclc.org/ to raise funds for a G5 Private Sponsorship Application http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5413ETOC.asp for a Syrian refugee family.
The monies raised by Medical Imaging will be used to sponsor one Syrian refugee family to London, at a cost of $30,000 for a family of five refugees. (If more than this amount is received and commitments from individuals to become part of a sponsorship team are made, this can be expanded to include more refugee families.)

1. Please make your Cheque payable to "CCLC/Western Social Science Refugee Sponsorship Fund"
2. Ensure the Memo or Re section of your cheque states MEDICAL IMAGING
