Visiting Student Electives

All visiting student elective applications are processed through
the AFMC Student Portal. 

Elective offerings and all application criteria for these
electives are available in the Portal at this link:

You are able to search the Western profile and elective offerings as a guest,
without creating a profile and logging in.

Placement into a visiting clinical elective is dependent upon program capacity at the department level and Undergraduate Medical Education's receipt of a complete application through the AFMC Student Portal within the stated deadlines. 

We ask that until your elective has been approved and confirmed by the VSE office, please do not contact individual preceptors or clinical departments directly unless it is to inquire about specific program details.  Contacting departments directly will not facilitate access to an elective spot but departments will be happy to provide information about their electives and PGE programs.
