Global Health Electives Grant
Western International Opportunities Award
Value: Multiple awards of $1,000. Western International offers awards for international learning experiences including exchanges, study abroad programs, international field courses, summer programs, international service learning, field research, and more.

Global Research Opportunities in Health
Value: 1-2 awards of up to $5,000. Award for 1st or 2nd year undergraduate medical or dental student to conduct a research project in global health. Projects may be in any area of basic, clinical, educational, or health services research. The majority of research projects will be expected to take place in another country. Projects within Canada will be considered if they are based on research that is concerned with health matters that are without borders and involve marginalized or at-risk, high priority populations e.g. prison health, health of those experiencing homelessness, aboriginal health, refugee health, etc.

SCHULICH GLOBAL HEALTH NAMED AWARDS
These awards are available to full-time undergraduate medical students at Schulich who pursue international global health electives. Eligible nominees will be forwarded to the Progression & Awards Committee of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry for final selection of the awardee.
