Medicine is very much my second career. Before starting medical school, I worked as a consultant in health systems design. I found my passion for general surgery while working alongside surgeons on cancer surgical policy initiatives. I grew up in the technology hub of Waterloo region. My undergraduate degree in Applied Health Studies from the University of Waterloo sparked my interest in research and health policy. Subsequently, I pursued Master’s in Public Health from the Queen’s University. I finished medical school at the University of Toronto. Beyond medicine, my interests lie in sports (cricket, soccer, hockey), aviation, and camping adventures. I am a self-proclaimed, non-youtuber hockey analyst.
