Moska Hamidi
Moska is the second child to Afghan-trained surgeons, who was born in Kabul and arrived in Canada as a refugee of war in 1991. Her parents love for medicine and surgery, in addition to a passion for humanity and justice cultivated from a young age, influenced Moska’s decision to pursue a BSc in Biochemistry (magna cum laude) from the University of Ottawa, followed by a medical degree at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, where she was awarded for achieving the highest standing in the clinical clerkship year. Moska hopes to change health policy at the international level, and to do so, she has recently completed a Master’s of Public Health from Harvard University. In addition to humanitarian surgical work, she hopes to have an enriching academic career as an Endocrine Surgeon. Her hobbies and interests include soccer, basketball, fashion design, photography, and writing for blogs and a future book.
