Enhancing Black Experiences at Western
The Robbins-Olivier Award for Excellence and Equity is a new award, funded by the Canadian Research Chair Program. The Robbins-Olivier research team— a coalition of Black academics, administrators, and allies –are one of the 2022 winners. Powered by the award, we are a group in the process of exploring Black students’, staff, faculty, and alumni experiences, throughout Western, Huron, Brescia, and Kings campuses. The goal, here, is to develop game-changing insight into the diversity of Black life across campus, and how it may be similar and different across disciplines, ethnicities, genders, classes, abilities, and campuses (among others locations). Your participation will help us capture the uniqueness and multiplicity of being Black at Western in this breaking ground study looking to give voice to an under-documented, and historically over-looked population!
