Bio Sketch

Dr. Jenkins received her MD and Neurology Residency at Western University. Following residency, Dr. Jenkins completed two years of fellowship training in Movement Disorders, the first year at Western University and the second year at the University of Rochester.

Dr. Jenkins is a Professor at Western University. She joined the Department in 2004.

Dr. Jenkins specializes in both Adult and Pediatric Movement Disorders including Parkinson's disease, Tourette Syndrome and other movement disorder diseases.

Dr. Jenkins is the CMBE Lead and Competence Committee Chair for the Neurology Residency Program.


Research

Dr. Jenkins' main research interests are in the field of Movement Disorders diseases, including Parkinson's Disease. Her research focus is Motor Control and encompasses human studies of gait, posture, upper limb control, speech and cognition. The research is conducted as part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals within the Faculties of Medicine, Engineering, Neuroscience, and Health Sciences.
