Our 2019 keynote is Dr. Rachel Ellaway. Dr. Ellaway is a professor in Community Health Sciences and Director of the Office of Health and Medical Education Scholarship at the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. She was previously the Assistant Dean for Curriculum and Planning at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and before that led the educational technology team for medicine, veterinary medicine, and dentistry at the University of Edinburgh. Widely published and recognized for her many contributions to medical education, Dr. Ellaway’s work has encompassed technology and systems in medical education, social accountability, context, admissions, realism, and the philosophy of science.
