Triple C

Since 2011, Family Medicine has been delivering a competency-based medical education (CBME) system under the framework called Triple C. Find out more by visiting the Department of Family Medicine's website.

 

CBD

Since 2017, Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada residency programs started to implement CBME under the framework called Competence by Design (CBD). At Western, this will affect 47 residency programs who will implement CBD in a phased fashion with the final cohort of disciplines scheduled to launch in July 2025.
