Associate Dean's Message
Adopting Competency Based Medical Education (CBME) across the education continuum is as much a change for faculty as it is for learners.
Fully acknowledging that some components of CBME will be new many of our educators, Continuing Professional Development will be communicating frequently about how we can best serve the needs of faculty and help to develop needed skills and capabilities that will be critical for this change.
In a sense, the faculty development curriculum will also be undergoing a parallel change to support CBME.
Excellent CBME faculty development is already underway in many of the School's clinical departments and Continuing Professional Development will be seeking to identify and disseminate that existing CBME expertise within our community.
We are also committed to identifying gaps in our provision and support the creation of new programs and resources to support CBME across the continuum.
