It is with great sadness that we share the news that Dr. Peter Merrifield, Professor Emeritus in Anatomy & Cell Biology, passed away on July 3, 2024 Peter is remembered as a kind and generous colleague and friend who made many contributions to the department through his research on muscle development and disease, his mentorship of graduate students, and his extensive teaching in cell biology and histology. A Celebration of Life for Peter will be held on August 8, 2024 at Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre.
