Message from Dr. Yoo

Annually donors make generous donations to the people and programs at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. Their support is critical to our education and research mission today and in the future.

We are proud to share a few stories that highlight how giving is making a difference.

As you read through this website, you will meet Shaily and Jelena, who are the first medical students to pursue graduate training through MD+, and read about how your support has enabled the creation of a new scholarship expanding access to MD+.

You will be introduced to Alicia and Moulik who are benefitting from donor-funded changes to our dental clinical training environments. And you will learn more about our new partnership with the Community of Support and how donations are helping to address barriers to medical school admissions.

You will also read about some fascinating research being led by Dr. Vladimir Hachinksi that is identifying dementia risk factors and developing strategies for prevention of the condition.
