Samuel Legeay, PharmD, PhD

Samuel Legeay is a pharmacist and assistant professor in the Pharmacy Department at the University of Angers (France). He is also Associate Professor at the University of Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada). With a background in fundamental research in pharmacology and toxicology, and extensive experience in student supervision, scientific publications and funding, Samuel is now focusing his research program on primary care and implementation sciences in order to be closer to patients. He is co-investigator and coordinator of the iMOgene project, which aims to evaluate the implementation in primary care of a genetic test for MODY2 diabetes (https://www.poitraslab.com/imogene). Samuel now wishes to broaden his experience in both primary care and implementation sciences, in order to develop new research projects evaluating the role of primary care professionals in the prevention and screening of chronic diseases such as diabetes and osteoporosis.
