Maria Mathews, PhD

Dr. Maria Mathews is an applied health services and policy researcher in the Department of Family Medicine at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University. She holds a PhD in Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Alberta. Dr. Mathews holds a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Primary Health Care and Health Equity. She leads a program of research on primary health care with interconnecting themes of the health workforce; the organization, integration, and delivery of care; and health care in rural communities.
